I am in desperate need of legal counseling for my hair. I'm obsessed with altering my hair cut and color, and yet...never ever am I satisfied with my hair! My hair NEVER looks good to me no matter what I do with it!

I don't know where to start.

I want longer hair, but my hair is short as it is and it grows so thick and awkward that I have to keep cutting and cutting just to prevent looking like doofus, and that's not what I want at work, but with growing out long hair I need to not fuss with it...HOW DO I NOT FUSS WITH IT!?

Do I make a goal and say, "LL, I will not cut my hair until this date in time"?

But what do I do with those awkward stages? Short hair is most susceptible to the mullet phase. I know I want to grow my hair but the back of my hair grows the fastest and it always sticks out like a mullet the minute it grows even a smidgen. So until the top of my hair grows out, I have to stay on top of the mullet phase which means more cutting and cutting. And usually a hair stylist says, "oh, a trim? Let me take three inches off your pixie cut. Now you're bald, but it'll look good in a month."

Really, I need a plan, but I'm not sure where to begin. I need a hair therapist to tell me what I need to do to grow out my hair and not look like a total doofus every step of the way.

Do you know of any hair therapists, or do you think you can take on the role to help me find a hair cut I will actually like and be able to grow it out the way I'd like?
