He moved across the country some months ago so I'm currently really far away from him... otherwise I would be visiting him everyday... which he probably won't want anyway, he doesn't want to see anyone...

A journal sounds like a good idea thanks but somehow he doesn't seem like a writing kind of guy to me. I did give him a small notepad when he moved away i wonder if he used it or not...

Otherwise i'm also thinking about a handmade card.

Since he's so far away I'm just patiently waiting for his messages otherwise then proactively messaging him,, to give him space,, am I doing it right? Is there something else I can do?
