Lithium was another medication that didn't work for me. I was on it for several years and had a manic episode and was consistently delusional for a significant period of time. I wasn't able to ever get to a 'therapeutic level' because of tremors and poor kidney function. I think it may have also been the reason i got nodules on my thyroid. It didn't help with depression. On the other hand I was smoking cannabis during the whole day at the time...

For some people lithium is like a miracle drug. I hope it helps you.
