I don't think he would offer it if he didn't mean it. If you want to do it, I say do it. My T went on a trip over the summer but knew she would have some down time, so she felt fine to do a little work on her trip. We had a pretty good phone session and she still came back seeming happy and well-rested. Now she's on a trip where she isn't willing/able to do that, so we made other plans for me during the break. I don't really think this would be "something you're doing to him" if he offered...
