I was told to eat with Gordon. If you don't then you're not getting the full effects of the medication. So any hour is too long to wait. My pdoc told me to take it with the equivalent of 3 Oreos. Since it makes me so sleepy about an hour after taking it, I usually take it about an hour before bed with a protein bar.
