I would sit with the girl one day and the two of you write up how you both want to be treated and how to do that. I'd let her know that you know she has been leaving her books at school and that is not acceptable, she must bring them with her, that is a large part of what you two are working on, not just play. I would make it clear to her you only have a certain amount of time with her each week, that you have other work and see if you can get her to make some goals for her school work and other things she needs to learn like taking turns and conversation, etc. Maybe you can find another pair and the four of you could do something together some times.
Yes, strange men in the street asking you personal information and giving you phone numbers are dangerous. Throw away the phone number. No respectable man would expect a lady to call him, especially since he works in a bar.
