I'm glad to hear this. Having a good pdoc or tdoc that you relate well to is so helpful.

I've had persistent depressive disorder (used to be called dysthymia) for a long time, with bouts of major depressive disorder from time to time. I know it sounds scary. But it's not guaranteed. The most important take-away is that you can be aware of it, and minimize or even avoid any possible relapses. And maintain contact with professionals and people who can help you, so you have a support network ready to nip any potential relapses in the bud.

By the by, I've had psychiatric evaluation reports that were sent back to my GP printed out for me by my doctor.
