I have a ton! I asked this question awhile back and got some great recommendations. Some highlights from my therapy playlist:
—“What do you hear in these sounds” Dar Williams. Only song I know directly about therapy. I love the line “oh how I loved everyone else when I finally had the chance to talk so much about myself.”
—“Details in the Fabric” by Jason Mraz. This is the most soothing song on the planet for me right now. I like the parts “deep breaths, help is on the way. Stay strong, I’m doing everything I can.” I listen to it on repeat when things get bad.
—“Porcelain” by Marianas Trench. Also another really soothing one for me when things get bad. There’s a line about thought you would have figured everything out by now that always hits home
—“I don’t have the answers” by We are the messengers. Someone on here suggested this when I asked the question last time. Really lovely song about not having the answers and figuring it out together
I also really like “My Interpretation”’ and “Happy Ending” by Mika, but those speak more to my own journey. “Happy Ending” is about therapy to me—I like the lines “This is the way you left me. No hope, no glory, no happy ending. This is the hardest story I’ve ever told.”
