you are not alone. i don't talk about the times it's happened to me, because i just don't want to dwell on the memories. and actually, a lot worse things happened to me, so i have had to learn to handle rage and grief and outrage over the years. in a way, a loved one died, YOU, the innocent and safe and secure you.
i don't think Pdocs are therapists, i wouldn't talk to one about strong emotions, cause most of them want to drug you. that is no solution. take small bites, this is a great first step~! only talk about it when and where and with who you feel safe. and give yourself permission to go slow: look at your memories and feelings from afar, then let them in a little closer.
there's plenty of stuff to trouble us in the present, it's hard to drag the past up and deal with it at the same time~
