I suppose the purpose of the former host is like that of a two-way mirror. Everyone behind can get pertinent information of what is happening and can come through it and take over when needed - but she cannot actually see or do anything about the system, and just appeared "normal" to the outside world and deflected questions. I keep being told from the professionals that I am "far more normal than i have any right to be" and that i don't "look like there is anything wrong with me". What ever those things mean. She is a chamelion and does her job well. She's not out nearly as much anymore - but typically is in therapy (helpful, eh? -sarcastic). We used to be completely invisible... harder to do now that we're working on healing... not all the parts are, of course... but there it is.
