I hear you on not starting a diet before the holidays, they just making sticking with a diet that much harder. I know I want to make shortbread cookies for Christmas, except I don't want to pig out on them, and I have no one really who I can give them to. So I'll probably just go ahead and make them and otherwise be careful about what I'm eating.

Yes, just use portion control. Maybe use little baggies and put a serving size in each one. Another option is to do a random act of kindness. Give some cookies to the fire department, mail carrier or hair stylist. I wish I could bake, I would give some cookies away and have a few for myself.
