Felt this was quite lovely:

Please remember that holidays aren't built for everyone. Don't assume people have families to go to, have delightful tables of abundance, have loved ones even available or alive. Please understand this holiday is built on loss & grief in so many ways in addition to obvious Indigenous genocide in the U.S. empire.
To you, on your own.
To you, who raised yourself.
To you, ignored at the table.
To you, unable to get home.
To you, who always seems to be wrong.
To you, the sharp end of the joke.
To you, braced to arguments.
To you, calling for a bed in the snow.
To you, with nowhere to go.
To you, with no food.
To you, with no home.
To you, with the buried & burned.
To you, every year a makeshift plan.
To you, the living ghost in other people's houses.
To you, being your own family tradition.
I'm sending you all the care and full bellies and warm housing and warmer laughter and comfort. I hope you find good company, a kind place to sleep, breath uninterrupted, and safety without attack. Let's all try to be gentle & never make assumptions of people's homes and hearts.
