I have wondered the same thing. Both my t and pdoc have mentioned that I may have something else going on sometimes that I think is hypomania because I get some atypical body sensations - not unpleasant chills or waves of warmth radiating from my scalp through my whole body and I get tired. These things don't happen with every episode. I am fortunate to be a medicinal lightweight; 2.5 mg of saphris will help me get to sleep either way. I just don't want to take it sometimes.
