Throughout the week, I write down all my thoughts and feelings on a sheet of paper. I bring the sheet of paper and read it to my therapist.
Instead of focusing on what I want to say, I focus on my thoughts and feelings as I write them on that sheet of paper. I always carry that sheet of paper with me so I can instantaneously write them down as they occur throughout the week. When I see my therapist, I pull out the sheet and paper and read it. It's a good start toward breaking barriers down slowly. So far this has worked for me.
