I know you are worried about your leg cramps, but the residual aching is pretty normal after a serious bout of leg cramps. It can go on for a few days.

My husband has constant problems with severe leg cramps. As painful and as annoying as they are, they are really just a huge annoyance. For him, they are a side effect/symptom of his larger pain syndrome. In his case, he has extremely poor circulation, and if he isn't active enough, the circulation worsens and cramps ensue. They are often so severe he is screaming and in tears, but it is not a medical emergency, even for him with all of his serious medical issues. He has a muscle relaxer he has on hand to take when he feels the cramping coming on. If he is proactive enough about it, he can mostly head them off at the pass, but not entirely.

I say all that to let you know you are probably dealing with an annoying and painful symptom, but it is probably nothing terribly serious. If the doctor offers you a muscle relaxer, get it filled and take it if you feel severe cramping coming on. Otherwise, as my husband has learned, the only thing he can really do about them is to walk them off (which in itself hurts like heck but it works). Remember, you probably actually pulled muscles when you were cramping, and just like any pulled muscle, it can take time for that soreness to subside. In the meantime, a heating pad can help keep muscles loose and ease some of the aching. Sometimes he's found simply over-the-counter ointments like solanpas helpful.

Hope you feel better. Muscle cramps suck, but they are more of a nuisance than anything.
Thanks for this!
