At times during the ups, yes absolutely. For many, risk taking involves this type of sensation. Hypomania and mania effects are essentially very similar to taking mind altering drugs. If you can imagine a drug that makes you feel happy, invincible, etc these are the same type of responses that you would find in mania or hypomania. If you are bipolar type one then you will experience these to a greater degree, with less self control. Personally my husband was game for it though so it never interfered with my relationship, others are not so lucky. Sometimes, it leads to promiscuity with random strangers often putting the person in danger.
