I personally don't like physical contact (doesn't stem from forced anything, I just don't like to be touch - be it sexual or non sexual manner). It made sex very hard and it wasn't until I met my wife did that really change. It took a long time for us to get to a physical phase in our relations because of it (even holding hands was a little too much for me and took a good month for me to convince myself to try it!).

As for the urges, I personally don't think they go away. I believe it's part of human nature. As a species we're designed/hard wired to reproduce and sexual urges help increase the chances of reproducing. When it came to urges before I got married I just struggled with them. I know that's not very useful, but I just wanted to let you know you're not alone in the struggle. Maybe someone else can help you.
