According to my research, WebMD says Pesseries are removable devices (donuts, rings, etc.) that are inserted into the vagina to help support areas in the pelvis with pelvic organ prolapse.
I'm unsure of their helpfulness in cases of thrush, though. Maybe the prolapse causes pockets in the tissues that allowed for thrush to happen in the first place, and using a pesserie "opens' the tissue up, thus preventing it from being optimal breeding grounds for thrush to take hold?
Anyways, Scarlett, if you have discomfort and dryness during sex, the best thing to do is make an appointment with your gyno and look into using aides like lubes in the meantime. It's probably just the result of your body winding things up with healing after thrush, but it's always a good idea to ask your doctor if you have any concerns or questions.
I had oral thrush and it was no fun. Even though it was in my throat and not down there, I can somewhat understand what you have been going through, so you have my utmost sympathy.
