Okay, positive things?
How about how absolutely perfectly Autumn-like it was outside today. The cool breeze, blowing the crunchy brown, red and golden yellow leaves around on the ground, with a slight bite about it that hints of the winter weather to come. The way the trees had no leaves on them, their bare branches starkly standing out against the dull grey sky. The hint of sweet wood smoke in the air from fireplaces around the neighborhood mixing with the musty smell of the leaves adding ambiance to the crisp, cool atmosphere.
I love fall. Maybe because my birthday is in November. Maybe it's because there's a holiday in this season dedicated solely to gorging oneself on an elaborate meal that took hours to make. Or it could be that it's so colorful, with reds, golds, browns, and every color in between. It's like I'm walking through a Monet whenever I'm strolling through the neighborhood with my puppy. Or it could be the nostalgia I feel when I see leave piles, remembering fondly how I'd spend hours playing in ones in the front yard of the home I spent the fair bit of my childhood, and promptly brings back memories of the wasp who was caught inside said pile one year and stung me. Man, that hurt like crazy!!
It also helps the fact that I have the absolutely most perfectly perfect romance going on. Things seem to shine in such a better, and more vibrant light when you're in love!
