I'm also in Cairo. We have two weeks left of the semester. Should I come home early? It sounds like my program will let me do that if I want to. I just really wanted to finish out the semester. But I don't want to put myself in danger either. What should I do?
Is there any way you can talk to the school about accommodations? Maybe you can make things easier on yourself. Is there any way you can speak to your Psychiatrist by email or phone? Is there a way you can get a friend to come walk you to exams and study with you at your house? Can you stay with someone so you are more safe?

If the answer to these is no then I would go home. If you can't find a way then you should go home.

Personally, I'm stubborn. I would white knuckle it because wasting time and letting the disorder win is not something I'm interested in doing. I also recognize though that when I can't, I can't. You know your body and what you are capable of. If you question your safety then you need to look after your wellbeing. I have spent many years in school because of my disorder and it frustrates me to no end. I've been in school about 4.5 years with breaks in between. I have an associates degree but not my bachelor. I am a year and a half away from my bachelor degree so when I get out I will have been in school for 6 years at least. I could have gotten a masters by that time. I am determined to finish this but I am bitter about the time wasted. I would hate for you to feel that pain too if you can avoid it. But I am proof that sometimes you have to take breaks. Learning what you can handle is important.
