hi woods... in my experience the 'stuckness' is a recurring theme... it does release at times... for progressively longer periods if i keep working at it...

but 'stuckness' is not an experience exclusive to depression... it happens to everyone... give it some time to pass? meantime, find that alternative interest you had way back when and look into it now?

pick up a forgotten hobby? it'll keep your hands busy... i always liked modeling... i forgot to do it when i was depressed though...

come here and talk to us... its one way of telling someone, and its better than talking to walls if you want a quicker answer...

i feel we each heal at our own speed, according to what we can process and understand... i think we self protect ourselves in ways that we outgrow but the pattern keeps us in the cycle of depression...

in hindsight, i wish i'd had more patience and faith... trusting that all the confusion would eventually make sense...

its hard work processing all those thoughts and it exhausted me...

so, my advice woods is take it easy... dont over-pressure yourself, take breaks when needed, find comfort in whatever you can... surround yourself with more of it...

write yourself some positive mantras/affirmations... things like 'I'm making progress.' even on the days you dont believe it, just read it... on the days you do believe it you'll really feel its positivity at work...

have faith... take care...
