My T and I talk about books all the time, in both directions. I don't know if she is really giving me recommendations as opposed to just following my lead about ideas that remind her of something she read. We both read a lot and this is true for me (talking about books) with other people. I don't think it's odd in the T context and I don't think it's an age related thing.
