'Reporter mode'....I understand that too well. Great thread. I haven't tried it out properly yet, but I remember reading in Pete Walker's Complex PTSD: From Surviving To Thriving that if you cannot cry/access your emotions, it may be helpful to begin with the breath...focusing on that can help bring it out. (I have tried it...got too close, and got scared.)
