In my experience it’s been mostly the same as a pdoc. I’ve had an APN for three years and I think sometimes she’s wanted to run med decisions past the psychiatrist in the practice but she still has the power to make decisions.
She left the practice though so I’ll be on the hunt for a new psychiatrist after IOP ends as well.
