Agree with Christina above. A psychiatric nurse that prescribes could be master's prepared up to having their doctorate in nursing. Depends on the practitioner. Iv'e worked with some awesome Psychiatric Nurse practitioner's. They can be very knowledgable/have great experience. There are good and not as good, just like everyone else. Can't hurt to check her out/get info/ask questions. good luck
