It is true that the rash feels quite different than "just a rash"; it burned and I couldn't even stand water on my face while I had it. It's kind of hard to describe. But, that first night, there was nothing to indicate it was anything different than an allergic response to something or even a weird insect bite. That's why checking in with a doctor is important so it doesn't turn into the rash that feels like a burn that is what you do not want.
