Greetings all,

I struggle with adult ADD. Given my other disorders, stimulants are a no go.

I'm a union painter (residential, commercial, industrial). I love what I do. I find it rewarding and satisfying. I'm really into it.

I find myself zoning out a lot when I'm working. Painting is something I can do without even thinking about, so my mind wanders. I usually go over movie plots in my head. Stuff like that.

It wouldn't be a problem, and isn't quality-wise. However, I find that it slows me down. Painting is production oriented (what job isn't?) so it could be an issue.

Anyone else have this problem? Any tips on being more mindful while doing repetitive tasks?
