I have been the same way for as long as I can remember. Even if I have known someone for years, I feel like I've sneaked behind the ropes at a high profile museum. I wont sit unless told to, and I never ask for a drink, and turn it down even if I'm dying of thirst. This feeling can ease slightly if I visit several times in a short period, but returns if I do not visit for a period of time.

It's even worse like if someone I know and myself visit another friend/acquaintances house. I'm watching them like a hawk, and if they snoop, touch things, or go to areas not invited I'm admonishing them with extreme ultimatums. Even going to a department store, I get nervous if the other person obstructs an isle, or lingers in front of products that other people want to access. One of the worst is if they smell food products by holding it to their nose, I just want to run from the store.
Thanks for this!
