My pdoc has been giving me Rexulti samples because the med works really well (when I take it, that is) and because my insurance refuses to cover it. We have not filed a petition because we've been fine with using samples.
Now I'm scared of the uncertain when my pdoc leaves the practice in 6 weeks. Will my new pdoc be okay with giving me samples? If not, will my insurance reject coverage?
Tried: latuda, abilify, Seroquel, and now rexulti. First 3 were a total fail.
I'm afraid to go on any big weight gainers like Seroquel. Seroquel murdered my cholesterol levels and made them dangerously high. (I have familial hypocholesterolemia, so my cholesterol is already high, AND Seroquel still made it skyrocket despite being on lipitor.) So I want to avoid those at all costs. I mean, I know abilify can cause weight gain (and I never gained weight on it), but I'm talking about big gainers like Seroquel, clozaril, zyprexa, etc..
