I hope you get to stay on it. If not, have you tried Geodon? That's available as generic. It is usually weight friendly. I'm not sure how that would affect cholesterol. When I took it I was also taking Seroquel XR. Before Geodon I had high cholesterol from weight gain from Depakote and Invega, but on Lithium and Geodon it normalized as I lost over 30 lbs on a diet in 6 months, so cholesterol was not a guarantee on Geodon with the proper diet.

The 1st generation Navane (Thiothixene) was helpful and weight friendly for me. I dont think most people have this problem, but I developed a brief dystonia at higher doses, but that went away as my dose was decreased. The problem with this med was that some dosages were getting difficult to obtain in my area. I had to shop around to find 5 mg pills, but it was dirt cheap.
