So I got an email from a new client who wants to know if I could complete a submission to the National Science Foundation by January 8th. Basically I would have 30 days to get it done. Less than that really because I would need them to review it. It's a brand new client. I don't know what kind of prep work they have done or information they have available on their project. I haven't met who the point person will be on the project. I'm not even sure if they have completed all the necessary registrations with grants.gov, etc. which take about a month on their own and are required to submit a grant application.
I'm torn because I really would like to have an NSF grant on my resume, but I also don't like signing up to do work that will be rushed. In the past I've spent a minimum of three months preparing for federal grant opportunities...not one month.
I'm also concerned that my MI will get in the way, as it has been lately too.
