I am considering putting the search for full-time work on hold. With my SSDI and freelance gigs, I should be able to make it a while. I just feel the need right now to focus on treatment and getting better, especially after how much trauma I endured at my last workplace, which totally retraumatized and flared up my PTSD as well as intensifying my avoidance coping behaviors.
I feel like I can work on interpersonal communication skills working with my few freelance clients and should focus on some frequent sessions with group meetings and one-on-one with my T and pdoc for awhile...then go back to full-time work. Taking a year off while continuing to freelance, and having real clients as professional references should cover me as far as continued experience in the meantime.
