I agree with BipolaRNurse. If you shake my family tree, alcoholics fall from the branches. I feel that in my case I was genetically predisposed. I'm sure it has something to do with the way alcoholics metabolize alcohol. (BTW, I'm in recovery, not currently resting with my head over a toilet. )
