I don't understand this. How could passing a tissue to a client interrupt the natural flow? Or leaving the tissue positioned to where the client has to get up to get it? Just put it next to where the client sits.
Since I haven't had a therapist who keeps the kleenex within arm's reach, I sometimes wonder if this sort of subconsciously keeps people from crying. Maybe Ts would prefer if people don't cry? I have no idea, really. I have only found myself crying and needing a tissue in my T's office once. The other times, I might tear up and suppress. I ball like a baby when dh and I are with the MC. I don't understand why.
