I'm in skipping mode right now. Have you see the 'don't break the chain' motivational method? The idea is you put a big red x on your calendar every day you do a little something towards your goal and when you see the chain, you don't want to break it so you keep doing it.
You've got me googling CFS now - 'pacing' seems pretty interesting and useful.
