Yeah, serious is boring but, certain personalities will use it like a religion over everything it seems. I used to be like this all the time. In part because of my upbringing and in part from being an introvert. Finally I got tired of all of that and decided to make some modifications. That's how I became an ambivert but, I still lean more toward introversion than extroversion. It wasn't easy to make myself become more outgoing and to talk to people that I didn't know and to lighten up but, it improved things for me as far as not fearing others so much and realizing that even strangers can be easy to talk to at times. Constant seriousness really brings me down. It's a bummer.
