My inspiration was the show Adam 12 which I still love to this day (I've been ordering the dvds) my Father wasn't around much & when he was he offered little protection from my abusive stepMom. Adam 12 offered me escape as well as it was an example of how men should act. Most of the males I remembered were less than manly they did drugs basically were immature didn't want to grow up. And that continued on even after I was reunited with my Mother & she met her boyfriend whom she would later marry. I'm hoping to move to another city .
I'm not eligible to be police so I may go into the paramedic program.
My parents are in law enforcement. They can't wait to get out. The politics behind it are awful. It's just a horrible field to go into these days.

Paramedics would be decent. I heard something similar to that the paramedics get a lot of grief from police and the nurses regarding decision making, but I can't remember what. Seeing people bloody and sick would be very tough, but it's fairly easy to get into and they are always in demand.
