I read this thread and all sorts of things came to mind. However then I realized since it will be just me this year that I will either be adapting the old traditions or starting some new ones this year. I actually am not sure for the first time what I will do yet.

I did decorate this weekend though I wasn't so sure I was quite in the spirit of things, bitter sweet. The one that is staying consistent leading up to Christmas and maybe adding this year on Christmas day too is watching the Christmas Hallmark movies that the family used to watch these last few years. I will attempt to make my great grandmother's sand tart Christmas cookies to have for that day for a bit of home tradition, but knowing my baking skills, wish me luck!
