I had this roommate who was complaining to me that the only thing she could do all day was watch my cable TV and lie down on my love seat. She wasn't paying me for a furnished apartment, I just charged her half of the rent. I didn't charge her for the use of my stuff. I was working like 20 hours and I got her a job, but she quit. Then, she asked me, "Don't you feel bad that all I have to do everyday is lie around and watch TV?" She had a car, she could have left and done something else or tried to find a part-time job. Should I feel bad that she felt entitled to use my belongings? Or, that she was bored because I was working? Then, she was playing mind games with me. Why am I required to cater to her so she isn't bored?
