Could someone please answer this for me (if possible)?

Has anyone ever thought you had taken drugs because of your hypomania or mania?
I haven't been diagnosed with anything but think I should go and see someone, as if people think that about me then surely there must be a chemical imbalance somewhere as I suffer with depression also.
