Novica is a company I have done business with for years. They are affiliated with National Geographic. Novica finds master artists from around the world and helps them sell their products, and ship it directly to us. Back when I had some moola, I purchased many items from them and was delighted with every purchase. Their main site is
www.novica.com
The reason I am telling you about them is because of an email I received from them today.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
...through the month of January, 10% of all Novica web site sales from Thailand, India and Indonesia will be donated to UNICEF's Tsunami Relief Efforts:

So if you happen to have an interest in international art, craft (weavings, rugs, etc.) and received any money for the holidays, this would be a great way to spend it. What I love is that in buying from Novica you are supporting the artists with a good income in their villages, not buying from trashy sweatshop labor. One thing to note, since the products are shipped directly from other countries, the shipping does take quite a while.
