No they're hilarious, completely harmless. Just out of hand. That actually only happened once but the story is told often. It usually involves bickering during the late football game and everyone tells them to shut up or leave the room. If my sister brings her yellow lab, he'll calm everyone down. But with the election in Alabama, it should be an interesting Christmas.
