I'm just giving a heads-up that I'll be creating one of those little "party" threads for everyone to gather round and have a little online company on Christmas day.

It'll be here in General Social Chat, and I'm just announcing it ahead of time to try and get more people in one place and make it easier to find. I'll start the thread sometime Christmas Eve (you know, because time zones) and aim to be around myself that evening, and as much as possible the following day. So we're looking at roughly 6 PM to midnight on the 24th, and 9 AM to 9 PM on Christmas Day (Eastern Standard Times). Hopefully, enough other people will join in that my exact times won't matter.

The holidays can be awfully difficult or lonely for many people. I've gotten okay over the years with just treating holidays like any other day, so I'll be around here. I certainly would like to spend the day trying to provide some company, and hopefully help other people feel a little better. I know others do too. These threads usually do well with the many wonderful people here. I'll try to scrape up some light entertainment links, although in my experience some other people here are better at that. I hope to see as many of you as can find the time to drop by that day.
