I need to get back to doing long walks. I will shortly; our pup is in "boarding school" for a few more days to get "heel" trained and socialized (he is a pit bull rescue and we are trying to be responsible owners). He will need to go a mile or two nearly every day to burn off energy. One of my sons is the nominal master, but I will end up doing a lot of the walking. I am looking forward to it (except when it is miserable out). I will not increase my calories for walking like I might for running or gym training; I will just lose slightly faster; maybe get to goal in March instead of April.
