This question has always bugged me. Like we take an ssri for 2 or 3 months and say for some reason it didnt work out, and our doc puts us on a different ssri. Does this mean that the number of days/ months the new ssri will take to start working will still be equal to the standard waiting time 6 to 8 weeks? or way shorter, coz we had already been taking an ssri before and there is already a build up of serotonin in our system thanks to that, which means we wont be starting from scratch but picking up right where we left of?
