I have not taken clozapine, but I have found that coming off other psych meds slowly has made the withdrawal easier. I know that pdocs say that it isn't withdrawal, but to me, any thing that causes symptoms when you quit taking it means you are in withdrawal.

I think that the effects will wear off, based on my experience. I have also heard that if the w/d is bad, sometimes it helps to go back on a half dose for a while and then taper off more slowly.
