Thank you TheSadGirl and congratulations on your 11.5 year quit from cigarettes. That is awesome to see and super for you and your long term health as well as everyone who cares about you too. Nicotine addiction is really awful.

I also finally quit smoking cigarettes in the summer of 2015 and what distinguishes this quit from all my failed attempts previously was that I finally understood that for me there was no such thing as having 'just one cigarette'... because I'm a nicotine addict.

I've not yet convinced myself that I can't just have a toke of cannabis every now and then but on the other hand if I can't learn to feel ok without it I'll never be free of the pot addiction.

You know, before I put any weed in my pipe (it was just the tiniest pinch), I drew on the pipe and imagined taking a hit and just the imagination already made me feel better so I know there is a huge psychological component.

Anyway I've not been drawn the rest of the day to take another hit. i am pretty sure this is a morning thing.
