Oh my gosh. Something else I’ve done that I’ve forgotten about.

I’ve had a problem with mania and hypomania, and this is something else I’ve done uncharacteristic of me. I had my lips injected once right before vacation and ended up with a reaction (swelling!!). I had to take steroids, and the dermatologist wouldn’t give me any more towards the end of the swelling because it looked fine to him. And he refused to reverse the procedure, saying there’s a risk of damaging tissue.

I can’t tell you how stressful that was.

It is so temporary too. It doesn’t last as long as they say (thank goodness). Obviously, it dissipates over time—it’s not like it’s there the full time and then gone. So people will see it when she’s injected.

Also, it’s obviously expensive and temporary.
