Well, my boys don't beg exactly. They just sit nearby and hope that I will share. Which I often do. But they will leave me alone if I tell them to go to bed.
Astro and I used to go on cross country bicycle tours together. I was completely self-contained, just like a backpacker, but on a bicycle. And I had a trailer on my bike that Astro used to ride in. Because I couldn't buy dog food when I would stop to get my food for dinner every night, and I couldn't reasonably carry dog food on my rig, I would always feed Astro whatever I ate. So when I cooked dinner in camp, I would make a serving for me and a serving for him. So he got used to me cooking meaning that his dinner was coming. So he has been used to sitting next to me eating his dinner while I eat mine.
So it's not exactly begging that he does now, he's just used to us eating together. He doesn't whine or anything. He just sits near me.
