I do think it would be good to talk it over with someone. Do you see a therapist? That would be another idea.
A lot of times what we see in ourselves is quite different from what others see in us. For example, I was never good enough for my mother, and as a result I have tended to believe that I am not good enough at most things I undertake. Therapy helped me see that other people tend to view me much more positively than my mother ever did. Just an example.
